Anyone catching chinooks at Drano yet?
« on: April 18, 2010, 11:49:37 AM »
I have been watching the Bonneville damn and I see there are lots of them going over in the last few days. Just wondering if anyone has had any luck?  Over 37,000 since the first of the month.   I am hoping to get down there this weekend and see how many boats I will have to compete with. :'(

It was a freaking zoo there Saturday.  50-60 boats and the bank was shoulder to shoulder.  They must be catching something.  I will be there next weekend, with full combat gear on.   :chuckle: :chuckle:

Just got off the phone with one of my wife's relations that lives just up the road from Drano.  He said it's looks like the Spanish Armada had arrived.....unreal.  He won't even go out in that mess.

If you bank fish like me, just keep a good selection of 12 oz. sinkers handy.   :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:

When the count is over 5000 a day its time....this was always our key to go. And over the last few years the standard dropped to 1000 a day for 5 days. But thats to sporadic for me after fishing it in the day...
